Happy 18th Birthday to Kinzi!!
Kinzi, we can't believe 18 years ago today, you were born. You have been such a blessing to our lives. We are very proud of the young woman you have become. You have so many wonderful attributes. You are sweet, kind, loving, confident, adventureous, brave, and most of all love the Lord. We know it has been hard the past few years moving and making new friends, but you have done an amazing job. I know you will make many new friends in Texas and God has a path for your life. Hope you have an awesome 18th birthday. We love you, Mom and Dad

Rodett Vacation Destin Florida 2011
We just returned from our summer vacation with our friends from NC. We love spending time with them. We are lucky that we have such great friends. This year we went to Destin, FL since we moved to Texas. We had an awesome time. All of the kids went parasailing. Some saw sharks and fish. I was too afraid to go but may have been talked into it if the weather would have been better. We had two days of bad storms but it was still great hanging out and playing skip-bo:-)

Moving to Texas
Well, we have been in Houston for about three weeks. I don't have any pictures to share but I thought I would catch you up on things. It was a long six months without Scott but the time finally came to move. It was very difficult on Kinzi since it will be her senior year of high school. The boys have been excited about getting here. They have spent a lot of time in the pool and in front of the tv. Thats about all there is to do when you are in a 2 bedroom condo with 5 people. It's a little cramped.
My kids have been gone for a week now. It's pretty quiet around here without them. Carson went to visit grand-parents and Kinzi and Cade have gone to North Carolina to visit friends. This is the first time I have been away from the kids for this long and I am definitely missing them and ready for them to come home. Speaking of home, we hopefully will be moving into a house the middle of August. We have made an offer and they have accepted. Now just waiting for everything to go through.
Ready to be in a house and I can't believe I'm saying this, " I'm ready to cook a meal". Yes I am tired of eating out. It's a miracle! So for now I will enjoy a few more day of peace and then let the chaos begin. Wouldn't want it any other way:-)

Trip to Montreal, QC
We had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend with my parents. We took a road trip to Montreal. I usually plan like crazy when we go on a trip but it was hard to plan going to another country. The first two days it rained but we didn't let it keep us from going out. Bought 4 umbrellas and off we went. Montreal is beautiful and Notre Dame was my favorite place we saw. The church is amazing. You can't describe it! The French speaking people threw us off a little bit and some of the signs. We didn't know what they said but that was all part of the fun. Kinzi enjoyed all the brides we saw. We must have seen 5 or 6 brides on Saturday. She had her picture taken by one of the cars. One of the pictures is on the trip of Billy. He was always in the front seat, preaching to us in the back. I told him it was going on the computer. Ha Ha I'm so glad we got to go there with my parents even if I didn't have it planned out too good we still had a lot of fun. The kids will have good memories of Nana and Pepaw trying to speak French.

Battle at the Capitol 2011!
We went to Washington, DC again this year for Kinzi's cheer competition. Friday we decided to go to Georgetown. It was a beautiful, small town with a lot of history. Of course, we had to go to Georgetown Cupcake. We bought a dozen cupcakes and they were delicious. As good as they look on tv. We also went by the White House. We didn't get to do that last year. That was cool.
Saturday and Sunday were spent in the convention center watching cheerleading all day long. Kinzi's team won 1st place last year so they wanted to take the title again. They had shirts made up that said "Round 2, Royalty Lives On". They were very excited. They won 1st place out of 14 teams. We are very proud of her and we had a great time. Off to Ocean City, Maryland next!

20 Year Anniversary
Twenty years ago today Scott and I got married. I can't believe how fast it has gone by. When looking back we have so many memories. We have been blessed with three beautiful children and a wonderful family. We have lived in eighteen houses and eight states. Being married to Scott has been an adventure and I have seen a lot of places I never would have without him. He has been an amazing husband and father. He always takes care of us even in difficult times. It has been a wonderful 20 years with ups and downs but we have always stuck together. I can't wait to spend another twenty years together making more memories and seeing where God takes us. I love you Scott!
