Mima

My Mima is the best grandmother a girl could ever ask for. When I was little she would bake with me, let me and my cousins dress up in her clothes and jewelry and do fashion shows.  She would be our waitress at our pretend restaurant and serve us her yummy food.  She would let us take a trash can and pretend it was a pool and even fill it up with water:)

We went to Silver Dollar City and so many other great family trips together. Too many things to write about,  but each of them are in my heart.

When I got older, we went shopping and went to arts and craft fairs together.   We never left without a bag of kettle corn.  I feel certain I got my love of shopping and baking from her.

Mima and Pa always made Christmas special for our whole family.  I couldn't wait to get there and start drinking Mima's green punch and hear Pa read the Christmas story from the Bible.  They raised each one of us to love the Lord and they always lived that lifestyle every day.  We have more great memories than most people will ever have.

I love you Mima and Pa. There are no better grand-parents than you!

Settled in New Jersey

Well I think we are finally getting settled in to our new home. We have almost been in it a month and in New Jersey for 5 weeks. It is completely different from any other place we have ever lived but I am trying to make the most of it. I told the kids to just think of it as a long vacation.  And to just enjoy everything to do around here because we won't be here forever. We have most of the boxes unpacked, started football, went to a Broadway show, went to the Bronx zoo, and I can now drive to the grocery store and to Kinzi's cheerleading without using the GPS. That is saying a lot because I pretty much get lost at least once a day. We hope you all will come visit us because we miss everyone. There is a lot to see and great food to eat.
